2020 Fall/Winter Registration information
We are delighted to announce that the Coquitlam Skating Club will be starting operations again in the Fall at the Poirier Sports and Leisure Complex. We have lots of information to share with you.
The schedules are now available to review on our website. The relevant schedule is "2020 Fall/Winter". Instructions on how to register for existing programs can be found here.
Registrations for Canskate and PowerSkating are now available, and will close 11:59pm, Sep 15. For all other programs, including Rising Stars Academy, StarSkate Academy and Junior Development, registrations will open at 6pm, Aug 24. Registrations for packaged programs will remain open until 11:59pm September 2. This will give us time to arrange auditions and plan for new entrants to the programs with available spots.
Access to the facility is outlined in this diagram. Sessions on Arena 2 will access the building through the entry in blue, labelled 6, and sessions on Arena 3 will access the building through the entry in orange, labelled 5. Please take care to review the schedule for the correct locations.
All off-ice sessions will be held online on Zoom. Please follow the instructions here for access.
We would like to take this chance to stress the importance of following the public health guidelines in this unprecedented time. We are lucky to have the facilities and hope that the membership will adhere closely to the safety protocols required for us to operate during the current pandemic.
To start out, please read through our CSC Return to Play Guidelines to get an idea of how each different type of session will be run, and the relevant brochure to review program-specific details. Please note that only some sessions will have parents/guardians allowed in the building during the programs. Those sessions that do will have a strict limit of one parent/guardian per participant. Details on the structure of the sessions are subject to change.
The last item on the list is one of the most important. Please find here a waiver form that will need to be brought to the first day of activities. We stress that this must be signed by both parent/guardian and participant if the participant is not of legal age. Those that do not have this signed and submitted will be turned away and will forfeit the registration fees paid for the session. If the waiver has been signed already from participation over the Summer months, this does not need to be done again.
We appreciate you bearing with us in this difficult time. We hope to see you this fall.
